About the Hoosier Mustang Club

The Hoosier Mustang Club of Columbus was established in 1978 and is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2008. It is the oldest chartered Ford Mustang Club in Indiana.

Two of the original members are still active, Jim Bott and Lonnie Hembree.

The club meets monthly on the second Wednesday of the month at various locations.

Every year, club members participate in events such as parades, shows, rallies, tours and trips.

The club is a non-profit organization and donates food and money to Love Chapel twice a year. Members also donate money to Hospice of South Central Indiana.

The purpose of the club is to bring together owners of Ford Mustangs, manufactured during the era from 1965 to 1973 and later, who are interested in motoring as sport and pastime and to encourage pride, ownership and preservation.
